34/f/us — snail mail, postcards, titties, and cheeseburgers

Email & Snail Mail

Hiya, internet world. I'm in a social bubble with people in my field and feeling trapped in a vacuum. Not the worst place in the world to be, but I'm looking to branch out and build some connections to talk about anything else. If titties and cheeseburgers don't catch your fancy, here are a few other topics I can hold a decent conversation around.

– Traveling: I'm happiest bopping around new places, especially if they are off the beaten path. I have some pretty ridiculous stories about my couchsurfing days -- the most infamous being the day I unintentionally introduced about 20 people from a local hostel to the World's Naked Bikeride in Portland, Oregon -- and my landlord, who was participating in the ride. – Being outdoors: hiking, camping, road-tripping, and swimming in the ocean. I was raised by the Californian Ron Swanson, and I have some great stories about his famous one-liners and questionable outdoor antics. Ask me about when he slapped a bear in the face when it was trying to break into his truck. – Curating themed playlists with the most eclectic amalgamation of music you've ever heard. Expect to hear Judas Priest, Fleetwood Mac, SZA, Grimes, The Supremes, LCD Soundsystem, Bronski Beat, Glass Animals, and Tobe Nwigwe on the same playlist. My spotify is bussin. So is the ADHD. – Quoting lines from Vines (RIP) -- I particularly love "Stahp, you almost made me drop my croissant!" – I'm laid-back and down-to-earth, with a penchant for dark humor. Life's too short to be serious all the time, right? Here's a fun fact to illustrate my approach to life: I got stung by a jellyfish in Hawaii and experienced a rather unexpected golden shower at the tender age of 11. Another fun fact: urine isn't an effective remedy for a Portuguese Man of War sting. I learned a lot that day about first aid and Polynesian men. – Reading: When I'm not out exploring the world or curating eclectic playlists, I'm diving into non-fiction books that make my friends question my life choices. "I'm Glad My Mom Died" was a great read, in my defense, and so was "Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter."

So, if you're up for some offbeat, hilarious, and downright bizarre conversations, slide into my DMs. Let's make the internet a weirder, funnier place, one message at a time!
