My friend's house is dirty and It's making things weird

My friends house is dirty, I don't know how else to say it. I really like her and we really get on so well but everytime I go over to her and her partners house it's a nightmare and it makes me feel awkward. Theres mounds of stuff everywhere, theres massive amounts of cat hair and assosiated smells, the bathroom is horrifying and I haven't even been in the kitchen, I saw it through the door and just avoided it.
