Traditions, Tips, etc.

Hi all, I’m a recently admitted Tandon grad student and I’m trying to learn a little more about NYU and NYC in general.

My undergraduate and MBA were both at SEC schools so big traditions, tailgates, the whole 9 yards. Is there anything like that for NYU? Really looking for anything here, any tips are greatly appreciated!

Any sayings? Like Ol’ Miss has “Hotty Toddy,” Bama “Roll Tide,” UK “Cats by 90,” is there an NYU equivalent?

Also is there like a restaurant that you would say any good student must go to once? I think every school has one even if it’s just like a greasy place to mend a hangover.
