Precision 7550 - Gaming Question

My laptop has been sitting in a Pawn Shop for about 10 months because I was poor.

I used to game on it all the time with great quality. Elden Ring, LoL, you name it, it ran and looked great.

So when I got the beast back the other day, I updated the Nvidia Drivers, ran and completed all the microsoft updates, and then ran Support Assist and updated the 12 different drivers on there also.

After 2 hours or whatever of downloading and restarting it was finally done. (It also updated to windows 11 if that matters).

Every runs smoothly until you open up a game and all of a sudden the frame rate gets all out of whack and the computer turns into a dinosaur. Tells me to fix my FR issue before even allowing to play. Open up the task manager and there's 183 background processes and the computer is running at fucking max.

If I have everything on the computer closed, the memory is still running at 43%....

What happened in 10 months that I can't play this game anymore?
