Why is the pilot so popular?

I just watched the pilot for this, I thought it was okay, but I don't really get why/how it's so popular. It's just confusing to me tbh, like I thought it was interesting, but it seems like everyone else claims it as a masterpiece. Just wanna know honestly.🫤
