With recent layoffs happening seemingly all over, is the games market too oversaturated to go to school for?
I am looking to start my first year of college relatively soon here. Ever since I can remember, I've enjoyed video games and the processes in which they're made, so much so that I was looking to major in that field. But with news of layoffs seeming to circulate constantly throughout the last several years, I fear that I would end up wasting time and money pursuing an education in a shaky at best job market.
