Not having a passing face after FFS is super disheartening
I really thought it’d be a big change for me. I look androgynous to some people now, maybe a little uncanny so I hear a lot of “is that a guy or a girl”. I think my face looks like a feminine man’s now, it still doesn’t pass. There’s definitely plus sides to having it done. I’m much less dysphoric around my browbone, but my facial features all still cause me some degree of dysphoria. It’s amplified somewhat by the fact that I expected a bigger change I guess. Hell, I don’t think most people would realize I had anything done. I should’ve been more aggressive with it I guess and I deeply regret not doing more. I went with the surgeon’s recommendation on a lot of things since I’m a little dysmorphic about some things. It just sucks cause I feel like I blew my opportunity. It’s either that or maybe my skull is just too large and anatomically male looking for shaving off bone to make a difference like it can for some. I see people less time on HRT and no surgery who pass flawlessly and it just sucks to sink years and years plus a ton of money and be basically nowhere.
