Buying bus tickets in advance

I’m planning to fly from Santiago to punto arenas. Are flights in South America pretty accurate or are there often delays? I’m planning to take a bus from punto arenas to puerto Natales and would like to buy bus tix in advance. What has been everyone’s experience with flights in the area? Thanks in advance !
