Guy I’m dating has dv charge

I(25f) found out that this guy(27m) I’ve been seeing for the past few months had been arrested and charged for domestic abuse back in April 2022. I googled his name and his mugshot pops up and his charge. I asked him about it but he was more weirded out that I googled his name. He said it was a false accusation from his ex’s family and that he never actually went to jail or court for it. The story goes him and his ex used to argue all the time and she would go home to her parents and tell them that he hit her. He comes home one day after work and police is waiting at his door saying they had a warrant for his arrest. The thing is his ex was in a new relationship and was months pregnant when he got arrested.

I can’t find anything other than him getting charged for it. It doesn’t say he went to trial or got convicted for any of it but he said he was released the same day without bond. He also says he dislike talking about because it was the worst day of his life. Should I continue to see him?
