Is something different about the dialogues in this season?

I feel like there’s something wrong about the dialogues between the characters, specially Rick. His lines are weak and he’s not as witty and the sarcasm doesn’t land well. In Ep3 he uses the phrase “you suck” 3 times as an attack? Is he a toddler throwing a tantrum?
