Anyone have any thoughts on how ridiculous film and tv originality has gotten?

it’s pathetic these days, the lack of creative writing and ideas for film and television have dwindled down to an absolute waste of money, attention and originality.

Today, the only thing studios want to do is roll out sequels and resurrect older films (some already apart of a trilogy or franchise) for profitable gain. Any one have any thoughts on this matter?
