[M4GM] Innocent criminal VS the ancient world of Pokémon

Ah, the world of Pokémon. A magical place full of equally magical creatures…it isn’t the bright place described in the games however. Pokémon and humans get along at times, sure…but there’s no magical balls that allow anyone to just catch and claim a Pokémon. All human/Pokémon relationships are purely based on the Pokémon’s willingness to stick around. As such, there are no battles, there is no champion, and the world as we know it is far less advanced. Here we cut to our protagonist’s story, an explorer in a newly found region ready to scope out a place for a settlement. Formerly a thief caught stealing food from the rich, he was sent out to the wilds of this new region as retribution. In reality though, it was a death mission due to the abundance of alpha Pokémon. A young man of around 20, forced into such harsh conditions because he and his family were starving…that was the reality of this world.

So, here’s where you come in! You could be an alpha Pokémon who decides to tag along with this human to keep him from the cold grasp of death. You could be a Pokémon that decides to keep him as a plaything, overwhelming him with your strength and doing whatever you please to the poor explorer. Or, if you’re in the mood for puppeteering the whole world…feel free to be every Pokémon he meets in this struggle for survival. Enemies, friends, even native tribes who have learned to be one with their Pokémon, mind, body and spirit…the world can be at your fingertips. Of course, if you’re not too into the GMing aspect I will take it upon myself to control a large chunk of the encounters.
