Need some advice
Hello! Im a 30/F who has had GERD since my teenage years. I have been on a prescription of 20mg omeprazole on and off, mostly on, for my whole adult life. The past couple of months I've been dealing with really weird sensations that i'd like to pick your brains about to figure out what might be going on. (I want to add that I also suffer from horrible anxiety that manifests physically and mentally, and have had my gallbladder removed 4 years ago.) Anyway, I've been feeling like I NEED to eat immediately after i wake up, which is something new for me. I get dizzy/ off balance and feel painful stomach cramps if i dont wake up and run to food. I feel like i was eating a proper amount before this started happening but all of a sudden it's gotten to the point where throughout the day if my stomach feels it is close to empty it will bother me immensely. The feeling feels like a hole in my stomach. Eating makes it feel better, but not for too long. I will be satisfied short term but then need something small soon after between meals or the feeling comes back. When i do eat a proper meal, i feel kind of nauseous while i eat, and bloat immediately after with long lasting heart palpations and a dry mouth. I don't feel much reflux thanks to my meds, but i can tell that's there as well. I thought maybe I had a stomach ulcer since I've had one in the past that felt similar, but the urgent care doctor told me i would likely have bloody stool and/or vomiting, which i do not. I just feel so sluggish and not like myself.. It's miserable. It feels like every day is a fight with food and i have become hyperfixated on what i eat and when i eat to the point im pretty sure I've put on weight. I just always feel bloated and nasty with a stomachache, especially later in the evening. All of this is making my anxiety go through the roof thinking i have a serious problem, and i can't see my gastro until mid November, so i was hoping someone could tell me if this has ever happened to them before and what they did to fix it. Not looking for a diagnosis obviously, just want to know if i'm alone. Thanks! :)
