A friend invited me over to make dinner with them, then had me shop for most of the ingredients, is that rude?

Hi a friend invited me over for dinner- they said I would be their sous-chef, they know Im not really into cooking unless its for a BF or a special occasion, so I thought they were treating me as I have cooked for them twice.

Before I left to their house they asked if I could pick up some ingredients at the store- I said thats fine if its a few they are missing, but I didnt want to do a shopping spree. so they had me pick up just 4 ingredients, but they were like the main ingredients for the dish.

I feel like getting annoyed by this is petty, but I feel like it is mostly bothering me, because they have been a pretty inconsiderate friend to me in many respects.

What do you think about that behavior?

I feel if I was invited over for dinner and someone asked me to pick up some butter or something simple they forgot for the dish, that would be understandable, but this just felt odd like I was being used.
