PSA: If you forgot about the $30 referral credit see here

You can get a quest referral for activating a new device which nets you $30. However, if you don't accept the referral before doing this, you will not get it. Still, if you are within the 7 day window of first activating your quest, you can still do so after the fact. You can see how to do it below:

1. Go to https://secure.oculus.com/my/devices/ select 'Delete Device Data'

2. Perform a factory rest on your quest. First power it off, then hold the power and volume down buttons down at the same time for several seconds. This will get you to a boot screen from where you can pick to factory reset. Resetting will wipe your data but will keep all your purchases tied to your account.

3. BEFORE you turn on your quest again and start going through the setup, accept a headset referral using your meta account, if your are feeling thankful here is mine

4. Once you have accepted this, you can go through with the rest of the setup on your headset with the same account you accepted your referral on

Again you have to be within some time period of initially activating your new quest. Hope this helps.
