New to modding.

I’m wondering how difficult it is to get into creating my own mod(s) for Minecraft. I have a couple ideas that i would genuinely love to try out but I have little coding knowledge and have never used Java as a coding platform, so i’m just wondering what the learning curve for making mods are?
