External Views

So I know this has been touched before I’m sure but could someone tell me why external view works in tutorial just fine but the minute I get on my own it doesn’t? Been playing the game about two weeks now and like it but if I could use the external view it would help me out. Again sorry if this has been answered someplace else.

I’m playing non VR mode
