TCM shouldn't be realistic

Discussion

I saw a lot of family mains bringing up realism when it comes to certain gameplay mechanics or exploits. Someone said that LF bodyblocking the basement exit is fine since nobody would run towards a big guy with a chainsaw. Another person said that victims shouldn't be able to open doors or stab gramps if they're being attacked by a family member because it's unrealistic.

These are just two examples just so you know what I'm talking about in case you've never saw posts or comments like that.

I don't think TCM should be realistic because if people would bring up realism all the time and not only when it benefits them, they would soon realize that a realistic TCM game would be extremly boring.

Here are some examples:

Gramps screaming and therefore highlighting moving victims all over the map for the whole family to see would never happen in real life (same goes for cooks ability).

Family members are somehow immune to HH's traps and Sissys poison, even though they're also human.

The physically weaker looking family members like HH, Sissy or Cook can get backstabbed, barged and door slammed multiple times and will get up like nothing happened. I would expect that from Bubba and maybe Johnny but the other three are a skinny guy, a small woman and an old man ain't no way they're surviving all of that in real life.

If these events would happen in real life, why don't the victims just climb over the fence and why does the family have to wait for gramps to wake up if they wanna go down to the basement?

And these are only some of the unrealistic things going on in TCM imagine how boring the game would be like if they made everything more realistic.

At the end of the day it's still a video game that's supposed to be fun and not realistic.

I would like to know what you guys think so let me know in the comments if you agree or disagree with me as long as you're respectful. Whether you're a family or a victim main, we're still enjoying the same game and were interested enough to join the games official subreddit so we might have more in common than you think.

Thanks for reading y'all and have a good day :)
