I can’t stand my roommates dog
I need some advice. My roomate decided that they are going to foster a dog from a local animal shelter. They asked the whole apartment about their thoughts and we were all down to give it a try. For some background this dog is a pitbull that is about 10 years old and would have be euthenized at the shelter if we didn’t decide to take it in. Currently we are doing some trial days before the dog officially moves in. Well it has been hell. To start off the dog can’t control its bladder, it keeps peeing in the house. It even peed on the couch today and when I asked my roomate if they were going to clean it up, they said “it’s going to dry out.” The dog also slobbers everywhere. If you are eating food the dog will literally beg for some, like I mean sit there and bark at you for your food. If you are eating on the couch they will try to get to your plate. You can’t watch a movie without the dog jumping onto the couch and getting all over you. We tried to put the dog in a crate last night (since they pee randomly) and it wouldn’t stop whining last night for 2 hours. The dog will whine and bark so loudly when left alone or in the crate that you can hear it from outside and I’m worried our neighbors can hear since we live in an apartment. Now to some other info. My roomate lied about the dog’s breed because our apartment complex doesn’t allow pitbulls, they also had the shelter lie about the dog’s breed on the paperwork too. The rest of the people in the apartment want to return the dog since it’s too much work and honestly disgusting to have it here. What should we do??
