Advice about Apple Pencil/alternatives

I’m sorry if this is asked a lot, but I couldn’t seem to find exactly what I’m trying to figure out.

I’ve been interested in an Apple Pencil for a while now, but not a fan of the cost.

I am not a student, and I don’t need it for work.

I have a Mini 6, and thought that it would be maybe useful for creative design ideas, such as outlining plots/ideas for potential books or songs. (I’m a ghost writer)

I’m worried I might not use it, so I guess my questions are:

Did you find a good use for yours? Sometimes we end up loving something for reasons we didn’t foresee.

I’ve heard good things about the Zagg Pro Stylus. I found it on Amazon on sale right now for $60 CAD (new Apple Pencil USB C is $109.99). And to be honest they sound like the exact same thing to me: magnetic, no pressure sensitivity. I don’t draw. Maybe it’s a better option? Experiences with Zag Pro Stylus?

Is pressure sensitivity actually useful if I won’t be making digital art?
