I wish all days were like today...

I just finished writing 12k words in a day...?

For reference, I'm a struggling author on the journey to finish my LONGfic. For the most part, I struggle a lot to write 1000 words in a week, let alone in a day. I wonder how you guys out there have the sheer strength I seem to see so often around here.

Recently, I started a personal "project" in which I actually try hard and expect (cute way to say "force") myself to write ~4000 words every week. If I can't reach that goal within the week, the next one I try to write more to compensate. If I write more than the weekly goal, I allow myself (but try not) to slow down the following one.

It's going rather well for the past month and a half. I'm dreading this will not last forever (new life stage coming up soon... excited but nervous), but I'm especially happy with today's unprecendent progress and wished to pat myself on the back. I hope I'm allowed to...? Wishing everyone here the same fashion of progress (unless writing 12k a day is nothing for you, in which case, tell me your secret!)
