I’m proud of myself today

Good News / Happy

So I dropped out of high school at 15 because I couldn’t take the bullying from the kids and some teachers, and I tried to switch to homeschool online, but it didn’t work out. And I’ve been a shut in for about 10 or so years, just going to the doctor whenever I needed to and taking out the trash or checking the mail. But as of recently, I’ve grown tired of being useless and scared, so at the end of September, I applied for health insurance and just got my medical card in October. I would’ve gone to my first appointment with my PCP that month, but they told me I also needed my actual ID card, which I just got today, not the actual card. I gotta wait in the mail for that. I was so blown away with the process today because I finally went out to the ID office, H-E-B, to get my COVID shot for my 3rd identification card. It was surreal to me. I thought I was going to freak out and have a panic attack, but no, everything was great. I was having conversations with, like, just one or two people, but it still felt good. Now I can finally make that doctor's appointment and then get on medication to hopefully help me function as an adult. I’m happy I finally got up and did something, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
