How do you seperate vowels this clearly?

In this Cheryl Porter video, (https://youtu.be/VIef725pQzI?list=PLFa30AX3rQ85fswgA9A74Qtgcgt7OJ7wV starts 1:58) she sings each vowel sound individually without glissando. Is that achieved by using and H on every one or glottal stops or something? I've been recording myself, but it keeps sliding
