New Apple Card

I got the Apple Card about a month ago and it said the first payment isn’t due until the 30th of November. I let the card carry a small balance over from a purchase I made last night and now it says I may have to pay interest since that was Octobers balance and now it’s November. The wallet app said I was not due a payment until November 30th but now says I may have interest charges if I don’t pay off the full amount by November 30th is this normal for everybody who just got the card?
