Oculus link breaks after only a couple seconds... partially?

So I used to use my oculus regularly about a year ago and I've just got back into it. Link is not working at all. What happens is:

• Connected with cable

• Open a desktop

• It works for maybe 60 seconds

• Only a single square of my view stays. When I look around I see a black void, but the "rendered square" stays completely working. I can SEE my desktop working as normal, but the controllers no longer respond and looking around doesn't work.

I'm not even trying to run games or anything.. just use the desktop!! Really frustrating when it worked with no issues last time I used the quest 2. Any suggestions? Google is giving me nothing.
