Is it better having shared Role Actions instead of 'Job-flavored' equivalents in each class? (eg Every tank has a slightly different Invuln mechanic)

General Discussion

I know the whole system came from Cross Class skills from ye long time ago, so there's a decent chance it might just be integral to how jobs are coded into the game. But it just feels weird how these actions just kinda exist on their own.

However, with how basic some of them are, I'm not really sure it would improve the gamefeel to have multiple names for the same thing. For example, there's not really a way to design different versions of provoke or esuna, because they have a very specific function to fufill.

But some role actions, I do think could be made into some fun flavors (If SE wanted to). Like, Lucid Dreaming is your basic mana regen. Ok. But they might make one Job have an MP jumpstart like Warrior's Equilibrium. Another might be able to share MP Regen like Dragoon's Dragonsight. If they were crazy, a job could even sacrifice a percent of their health whereafter a time the health is returned to them and completely fills their MP.

I dunno. I don't think the game would be inherently better or worse for shared role actions. It just sticks out to me as an odd side system with how little interactivity it has.
