I want to donate crypto but would require a conversion, am I subject to capital gains tax?

I have HIVE, which my charity of choice does not accept. They only accept major ones like BTC or ETH. Thus, I'd have to sell my HIVE to buy BTC. Then I can donate the BTC to the charity.

Would the selling of my HIVE be subject to capital gains tax?
