Problem with my 13900k/4090 build
I’ve been exhaustingly looking for answers and can’t seem to find them. Here’s a list of my current build: -Lian Li O11 XL case -Lian Li Galahad 360 AIO w/ 120mm SL-INF fans -6 Lian Li SL-INF 120mm fans (intake) -1 Lian Li SL-INF 120mm fan (exhaust) -ASUS Z790 Maximus Hero Motherboard -intel 13900k CPU -Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 AERO OC -64 GB of DDR5 Corsair Vengeance RAM
My problem is that my 13900k has been having random spiking of temps and it’s crashing my games routinely. My wiring is correct and has been checked numerous times at this point with nothing to show for it. I use the provided Lian Li controller box for the fans and they are daisychained and run just fine through the L-connect app. But, a simple game of Fortnite creates spikes over 95’c when loading a match and then it crashes.
A couple weeks ago, I was running Cyberpunk at the max settings and getting normal temps of 70’c-80’c while playing with an occasional jump over 85’c but nothing too crazy. My drivers are up to date. BIOS is up to date as well. I even reapplied new thermal paste on the cpu to try and see if that solved anything, but nothing. Any game, it doesn’t matter, I keep getting spikes that cause them to crash. Any help would be appreciated.
