Does anyone else feel less than human sometimes?
Wish I could add more than one flair, TW for depressing content, I need help and it's kind of a vent LOL Does anyone else struggle with feeling like a person? I've been having an extremely hard time telling myself I am just as human as the people around me. I've grown up constantly being told how weird or outlandish I am, and I'm hyper aware of all my behaviors. My image of a real/normal person is not me, I have such a hard time doing basic daily tasks and keeping up with myself. I get overwhelmed and overstimulated so easily, I lack the ability to create lasting habits and I can't be as social as the people around me. All my life I've been convinced that this is not how "normal people" behave and now I'm struggling to feel like a person at all. I feel like I'm not as human as my neurotypical friends, and it's gotten worse since I started college. Everyone seems like they're so much better at doing human things, and I can't help but feel like I'm struggling because I'm not as much of a human as they are. I know that's a terrible way to think, but has anyone else ever felt like this too?
