WTF am I supposed to do

I made an account in Canada and then I moved to Greece and changed my phone number. Online transactions didn't work because RBC was asking me to send security texts to a phone I no longer use. Ok so I go to the website and I delete that number and I add my Greek number as a primary one and I also make my devide a TRUSTED device. So I thought all is a good and I go through the payment process again and now it says:

Additional Verfitication Required Vérification supplémentaire requise Unfortunately, we cannot complete the transaction at this time, please call 1-866-270-6567 Malheureusement, nous ne pouvons pas terminer la transaction pour le moment, veuillez appeler le 1-866-270-6567.

Ok? Vague much? I tried calling this number and I just let it ring for a couple of minutes and it ate my 12€ on my card before I could even get to speak to anyone because I don't have any international package or whatever so THANKS for that. I guess.

Like WTF do they have passwords for if I have to do all this shit anyways. All my life I never had a problem with just a password but I ALWAYS had problems when adding phone numbers or other shit because guess what you can LOSE that and then your own accounts treat you like a criminal. And now apparently I have to figure out a way to talk to these people all the way to the USA without costing me a fortune because they need to "verify" me or whatever.
