As a PIMI, Did You Subconsciously Think of the GB As the Modern Pharisees?

This just popped out in my mind. I remember when I was still an overworked PIMI (RP, MS), I subconsciously compared the GB (and elders) to the modern Pharisees. It was during a CBS about Jesus condemning them because they put heavy burdens on their people's shoulder. Their rules and traditions made the application of the Mosaic Law burdensome for the common people. And I remember a comment saying they tend to turn their personal opinions into law. In my head I was like, "Aren't the GB and our elders similar to those Pharisees?" I think that thought contributed to my awakening but that happened 2 years before I totally woke up.

Edit: I think I thought that way because at that time, even though I was already doing too much for the Borg, the elders & CO still made me feel I had to do more. My privileges became a total burden in my life.
