[ALL] Future Art Styles/Visual Aesthetics
When I see posts about the future of the series, it's always about the gameplay and whether they'll continue the BotW formula. And I get that! I totally do. But I'm personally way more interested in what could be done visually, as Zelda is more or less Nintendo's most malleable franchise in that regard. We've gone from muted, dark, and realistic to super colorful and cartoonish (with varying degrees of both along the way). If there's one thing these games almost never fail at, it's having an individual identity based on how they look.
So, when thinking about what's next (presuming we don't stay with the mellow, Ghibli-esque BotW cell shading), what art style would you like to see the series take a shot at (this isn't just limited to the 3D games btw)? Full-on anime or some other hand-drawn hybrid? Another more modern take on the realism attempted by TP? Or do you want something wackier than anything we've had before?
Personally, I'd be down for a game inspired by the style of the LoZ/AoL box art. Not even for the nostalgia factor, I just think it'd look really cool lmao
