Do you like how Dream Academy handles eliminations?
The way that DA does eliminations is different from most other reality competition shows. No judges or hosts are present to deliver the crushing news to the contestants. There are no Bottom 2s. There are no last-minute pleas to the judges, crying and begging for them to give you a second or third chance. There's no singing or dancing "for your life" in the competition.
Everything is done via a computer screen. It all feels impersonal. Jay,whypee? isn't there to comfort you and give you a hug and tell you to not give up on your dreams (even though he's literally the person who gets the final say on who goes and who stays in the competition).
DA has gotten criticism for its stoic, somber no-frills style of elimination, but is it better this way? What do you think?
