I've been having some pretty bad gyro desync that I never had in Dirt Rally 2, anyone else?

I have my steam controller setup for gyro and have used it for some time in Dirt Rally 2. Upon using it for WRC I keep having drift / desync problems where "forward" is no longer straight forward!

I think it's half and half of blame towards the game and the software. Anyone else experiencing this?
