LASIK or try my luck?

So I went for a lasik consultation a few days ago. I got approved for lasik idesign which was good news. The bad news though is that it’s £6000. And I don’t have £6000 funnily enough (there is finance available but I already have a lot of monthly outgoings.

So I have a few questions and if anyone could answer and help then it would be very appreciated.

1.) my eye sight is

L / +.50 SPH & -3.50 CYL R / +.25 SPH & -3 CYL

Could anyone tell me if my eyesight falls into the requirements? I know it’s all on the JSP50 but I can’t work it out for the life of me!

2.) lads that went through training with glasses and contacts how did it go for you? Was it as bad as it seems to me?

3.) lads that had lasik do you recommend it?

4.) if you were in my shoes and you could get in with my eyesight would you stay wearing glasses or take the risk of lasik?
