Seems like the mindset of the former fans is cemented, which is great however...
I think one aspect that is being brushed aside is Lex (bear with me).
I don't mean she isn't getting the criticism she should, I mean I don't think people are acknowledging just how emotionally taxing being raped can be on a person. Before I proceed, she is not above criticism, she is not above accountability, I'm merely presenting that trauma of that caliber is not a monolithic experience and that it should be taken into account when addressing her in any conversations going forward.
Imagine the situation from her point of view for a moment, you're alone with someone, it's uncomfortable but you don't feel a sense of danger, one moment later that is robbed from you and in that moment your entire self worth and sense of security is gone - the world is now a significantly worse place for you. Then after this, through ignorance your bosses bumble you telling them this, they make it seem like your trauma is inconvenient to them and again through their ignorance they create an environment where you have to face the man who raped you, who reduced you're entire being down to "you exist solely for my pleasure". And now lets introduce into the mix people who have petty vendetta's against Super Mega, who have ulterior motives, and theres you, emotionally vulnerable and ready to believe every horrible thing about your employers because again, from your perspective they created a situation where they didn't care about your abuse and made you face your abuser.
I just don't get how people can acknowledge this is an event that occurred and not realise that maybe, JUST MAYBE, someone who went through this experience is in an emotionally vulnerable and easily manipulated position and is likely to believe things about her bosses that didn't happen, that if someone tells you enough times that something happened you're probably going to begin to think it happened.
Again, I'm not advocating for a blanket absolution of guilt, people are still accountable for what they do and say, but I think it's valid and worth understanding how Lex's immediate environment used her trauma as a weapon and contributed to a false narrative that makes a lot of sense to you when you've just experienced sexual assault that your bosses handled as delicately as a nuke being dropped. I am also not calling for a pitch fork against Leighton or Nick even though I do hold them responsible for emotional manipulation, nor do I encourage one against Super Mega despite clear failures. I'm just presenting that, unless you were Lex, in that exact situation, reword the vitriol and hatred and think it through with some basic empathy.
I also predict some "I was sexually assaulted and would never do this", which is why I said in my second paragraph, trauma is not monolithic, the way you dealt with trauma is not a universal constant. People have pulled an entire forgive and forget with their trauma, other people have committed murder over their trauma, it's a pretty wide spectrum.
