Google wifi is becoming a problem for me.

I've got 9 1st gen google wifi pucks, and because either spectrum sucks or google wifi sucks due to a lack of updates, I only get 3mbps of my 300mbps plan. I get full speed on lan. All 1gig networking of cat5e thoughout house.

If I get a multi-port router like NETGEAR Nighthawk CM1200 with multiple ports, can I run one direct line to the switch for the house and one line to the primary google wifi puck and then the switch?

I do know that (technically) you're not supposed to connect two ports like this to each other, but I was curious to know if anyone knows if this even could work at all.
