Bluewater aviation; tier IV or V?

I have a full 10-crew British Bluewater fleet with a boat, frigate, destroyer, 2 light cruiser, 1 heavy cruiser, and 1 battle cruiser in ascending order of size with 3 slots left which I intend to fill with 3 aviation units. I'm probably going to have a standard light fighter/interceptor, a heavy fighter or Fighter-bomber, and a naval bomber or heavy bomber. Since it's the anniversary with discounts, I want to try getting a premium vehicle or two (it's my birthday week so I'm treating myself) but I can't decide if I want the rank IV propeller-based aviation with the spitfire FXIVc, hornet MK1, and wyvern S4, or if I want to just splash a bit extra for jets with the meteor reaper, attacker FB2, or sea vixen FAW2.

What would be better at naval battles, and is the extra couple thousand golden eagles worth the cost?
