In a operation what's is the difference from pmo to a bi analyst?

Hi, in my current job I was in continuous improvement team dealing with appointments, errors, trainings and all these stuffs but I discovered power bi and started to re-do all the reports from operation, but the problem is pmo team was already doing but in excel in a neanderthal way, now I think im competing with them,? I'm trying to understandt what is their role in the project, if me as bi analyst will replace them all?
