First Gunpla

Ok, I wanna get my first gunpla, but I have a method of getting into hobbies like this that most consider ridiculous. I want to buy the most complicated, readily available, and customizable model I can get my hands on.

For context I’ve been building models, painting 40K, and making terrain for a while, and I figure this would be a logical step with an illogical approach. Any info is helpful, I wanna see how much effort is put into designing these kits! T.I.A
