Looking for a horror movie

Hey y'all, I'm looking for a slasher horror movie that came out, I want to say it was the late 90s or early 00's.

Sadly can't remember much details aside from a single scene where a character who was swimming got confronted by another character (Think their name was Brad?) about them dating at one point. He leaves and she gets caught by the killer afterwards. I think he had a freddy krueger like glove with broken glass? My google-fu isn't helping me at the moment and I'm struggling to remember what it was called. Any help would be amazing!!!
