How to estimate weekly Training Benefits amount

My regular unemployment benefits will run out in December and I have been approved for Training Benefits. I called their support office today, and while the staff was very friendly, I could not get a clear explanation of how to estimate how much I might receive for the additional 26 weeks I'm now eligible for. She implied that the amount is based on whatever "pool" of money exists when I start claiming Training Benefits. I'm looking at the Training Benefits handbook and it states "If you are receiving regular unemployment benefits, we will subtract $5 from your gross earnings, multiply by 75 percent, round up to the next dollar, and then deduct that amount from your weekly benefit amount. " and "If you are receiving Training Benefits and are unemployed for a week, we will subtract $5 from your gross earnings, multiply by 50 percent, round up to the next dollar, and then deduct that amount from your weekly benefit amount. " Does "gross earnings" refer to the weekly regular unemployment benefit I've been receiving? Is there a way to predict how much $ I'll be able to get from Training Benefits? I'm enrolled in a 2 year AA degree, so the benefits will run out before I'm done, but I'm trying to figure out whether I'll need to take out loans ASAP.
