How to tell why my PC is blue screening?

I know I don't have a lot of information here but how would you find out why your PC has a blue screen? It's done it twice so far and I've restarted windows by erasing everything and reinstalling it and it just now did the blue screen of death after closing dead space. It doesn't tell you anything it just tells you to go to Microsoft.com/stopcode which tells me nothing.
