Dog suddenly chewing up baby wipes and paper towels

My dog has never been a chewer. She has chew toys that she knows she can chew on and she does occasionally, but most of the time she likes to just find a spot and chill out or come cuddle with my husband and I.

The last few days she all of a sudden is digging through the trash. She has literally never done this, not even when she was a puppy, but she is now pulling out a (used, covered in poop) baby wipe and bringing it to our area rug. Both times it happened it was the same baby wipe if it matters.

Then today, I found some ripped up bits of a paper towel on the floor that had been left on the table from when my toddler has attempted to clean up a mess she had made with her oatmeal (lol don't judge us too harshly).

Our dog doesn't ever jump up and get stuff on the table either! This behavior is bizarre and I don't know why she suddenly is doing this. There haven't been any other behavioral changes.

Anyone have any idea why my dog might be doing this? She is almost 3.
