How to sound like a human being while making your voice deeper

Pre-T, but I make my voice significantly deeper when talking. However, people say I sound like a robot, because contorting my throat to talk lower-pitched stops me from having a casual rising or falling tone, I guess. I have to do an interview soon. How can I talk with more emotion without sounding like a female?
