Hey, I’m a singer seeking advice on how I can make my recordings better

So I’ve been singing for 5+ years. Getting lessons, improving my recording set-up, doing the whole “developing my voice” as an artist thing. I get a lot of hate on my singing/covers so I’m wondering if it’s just my voice being that bad, or if it’s something with my production. ‘Cause I know production can make or break a track. I record and edit all my own stuff, but I’ve been thinking about getting an engineer/mixer/tuner, etc. Like….getting/paying a professional to work on my stuff.
