Bought the Quest 3 as my first VR kit and I'm addicted, but I have a question about what to watch out for that I might not think of?

Discussion

Hello and salutations!

Today I did the inevitable: I clocked myself in the mask while swinging my controller at a monster. Thankfully the grip I have means it was rubber on plastic, so the impact wasn't as...impactful. But it got me wondering: How durable is this thing and what should I watch out for?

How durable have the Quests been? Should I worry about knocking it every now and then and work on changing my habits/staying slightly unimmersed to ensure I don't realize I've got less space in front of my face than my brain thinks I do? Or is it a Nokia 5210-grade menace that'll outlive me and be found yellowed and antique-like in my closet after I die from old age?

What should I know about that isn't obvious? Example being sunlight. I had no idea sunlight was so lethal to lenses and if I hadn't come across a comment where somebody said so, I would still have no idea to be careful about that.

Any help, pointers, and advice is welcome!
