How many of you have a Mezuzah on your door but are not Jewish?
I’ve heard of people who aren’t Jewish having mezuzahs on their apartment doors from (I assume) previous Jewish tenants.
I’m curious if leftover mezuzahs are widespread across non-Jewish households in NYC, or if it’s just a few people here and there.
At its peak, NYC’s Jewish population was about 30%. Today it’s down to about 18%. So, it certainly makes sense, but I’m still curious as to how widespread, or not widespread, the “remnants” are, so to speak.
