Are there any "what do you want out of your RPG" type quizzes around?
I'm not even sure what to call them in order to search for them. I'm looking for something to present to a group of 10-13 year olds to gauge their interest in different parts of the game. Exploration, Role-playing, character development, acting, combat, politics, urban vs rural are a few things that come to mind. But just asking kids if they want politics in their game is probably not going to directly communicate it well.
So I was thinking of something more along the lines of a Myer-Briggs type quiz where you get a series of scenarios or choices between A or B. Example:
"You encounter a group of bandits robbing a carriage. Which would you rather do?
a) pretend to be another group of bandits and fool them into giving up (role play)
b) sneak up behind them and attack them (combat)"
I see two types of problems with this kind of quiz. One is that it'd be damned hard to write. Two is my own biases would definitely sneak in - I would almost invariably describe one of the two choices better or with more interesting language and thus skew the results.
So I ask, does such a type of quiz already exist? Or do you have some suggestions?
