What are your thoughts or personal experiences with SSRIs?
So, I suffer from post-COVID19 Dysautonomia. It got significantly worse after I got the Pfizer booster. I am not orthostatic but I may/may not have some form of hyper pots because my HR seems to increase only after meals or after eating certain foods. After eliminating those trigger foods, I have almost completely cured my tachycardia and palpitations. It's unconfirmed if I have any MAST cell disorder, but I suspect I do.
Anyway, due to my physical health conditions, I've noticed that my mental health has taken a turn for the worse. I also get less sleep due to insomnia, and it fuels my anxiety. On some days my anxiety is so bad that I don't want to leave the apartment. When I get anxious it fuels my physical symptoms and makes it worse.
For example, when I'm anxious (out in public) I get very dizzy, and when I get dizzy I get even more anxious and it's a self fulfilling prophecy until I start experiencing episodes of pre-syncope which is the absolute worst. When I'm at home, I have a baseline dizziness but it's very manageable for the most part.
The issue I'm having is that my dysautonomia is improving a lot since when my symptoms first started 2 years ago, and I strongly think my anxiety issue is holding me back from making a full recovery. I have my annual physical coming up with my doctor, and I am going to discuss this issue with him. I am worried to take SSRIs or any anti anxiety medications because I have read on here that it actually caused some peoples' dysautonomia, and with mine improving so much I don't want to jeopardize my physical recovery.
